I Need Some Fine Wine And You, You Need to be NicerLife certainly has not been dull over the last half decade and we continue to evolve our business in line with an ever changing political & economic climate. It seems today that we need to keep a better eye on CNN than on the weather forecast when it comes to making important 'wine' decisions.
On the 'Enjoy-Now' side we have wherever possible kept prices the same but have increased some prices in February 2026 as the UK government seeks to replenish the treasury. Our Spanish selections continue to grow and we have some incredible wines which I think deliver exceptional value for our clients. 'Enjoy-Later' where we focus on Fine Wine is always an evolving area and Bordeaux 2025 seems to have had a mixed reception in the market. Personally I think that whilst there are some incredible offers out there others are wildly overpriced. Naturally some will no doubt simply point to Supply & Demand and I cannot argue (too much) with the economics of the fine wine market. However, I like the idea that I can open a bottle of wine and not suffer a guilt trip the next morning, neither because I may have had a glass too many nor because I just ruined a potentially valuable investment plan.
